Alex Smalley, a rising junior at Duke University, shot a 68-69 on Monday at the U.S. Open Sectional in Ball Ground, GA, to advance to next week’s U.S. Open at Erin Hills, Wisconsin! Smalley birdied holes 11,12,13 on the back 9 in the final round to tie for 1st and secure a spot in the U.S. Open.

“Words cannot express how thrilled I am for Alex. To lead Duke to the NCAA Golf Championship and then qualify for the U.S. Open is truly an amazing accomplishment. Way to go, Alex!
